Neil is an experienced infrastructure expert, with a background in finance. His current role with Scottish Futures Trust focusses on economic development and digital, leading on the delivery of the infrastructure Scotland requires to make it a competitive and successful country. He has also worked in the private sector, working in the public sector advisory arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, a leading accountacny firm, and Bank of Scotland, where he was part of their corporate and project finance lending teams. He has a track record of delivering innovation, change and projects across a wide of sectors: regeneration, education, transport, and sports and leisure.
On the sports front, he is involved at different levels: he still enjoys exercising, participating in a number of sports. He coaches youth hockey and is a mentor for the sports charity, sported, where his key aim is to upskill and assist sports clubs, charities and social enterprises increase participation, grow and become sustainable.
