Dundee Dragons Wheelchair Sports Club are a ground breaking sports club based in Dundee city.
We provide sporting opportunities for children and adults who are active wheelchair users or who have a physical disability and a desire to participate in sports including Basketball, Rugby League, Tennis, Badminton and Curling.
We are looking for a volunteer coach to take on responsibilities for coaching Wheelchair Rugby League on a Wednesday evening and/or a Saturday morning.
This role would require someone with a passion for sports to engage adults and young people in Wheelchair Rugby League at Dundee and Angus College Gardyne Campus..
This is a great opportunity if you are passionate about working with sports people with a disability
You will also the opportunity to work with multiple young and senior athletes who represent Scotland in national and international competition as well as adults who participate in Invictus Games and for Scotland Senior Wheelchair Rugby league team in national and international competition.
Required skills, qualities and experience
You would be required to have up to date Rugby League or Union or Wheelchair Rugby League coaching qualifications or demonstrate relevant coaching experience and be willing to train towards achieving the qualifications within the first 6 months
Commitment required
To get the most out of the role it is hoped the volunteer would be able to commit for 1-2 hours on a Wednesday evening and/or 1-2 hours on a Saturday morning as well as attendance at club fixtures both home and away.
Training and support provided
Volunteers will have access to relevant coaching courses, supported by the club including financial support, as well as sportscotland training and in-house training as required.
Minimum age requirement
Due to the nature of the service volunteers need to be 16 years and over

Disabled access is available at Dundee and Angus College.
Expenses provided
Agreed travel and out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Taster sessions
Taster sessions and shadow sessions will form part of the induction process
