Scotland Under 19 Head Coach Danny Addy has announced his 19 man squad for the first game of the U19 European Championships against Ireland on Sunday. Kick off 4pm CET, 3pm GMT.
The squad features a strong core from local Scottish clubs, many of whom have represented Scotland previously, backed up by a number of players from the rugby league heartlands with very strong family ties to Scotland, as evidenced by some of the surnames such as McMillan, Campbell and Paterson. The squad will be supported by a number of parents who have made their way to Belgrade.
Scotland Head Coach Danny Addy said
We have had a really good 2 days in Budapest, giving the lads time to acclimatise to the heat and humidity, a bit of practise time and a chance for the squad to get to know each other even better. We are now looking forward to a really tough tussle with Ireland in what we think will be a great close game of Under 19 international rugby league. We can’t wait to get going now.
