FULL TIME Development Officer
Salary £24,000 – £28,000 (based on experience)
Scotland Rugby League are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Development Officer to implement the sport’s strategic plan. This focuses on primary school, secondary school and local club development and on the Scotland Rugby League’s volunteer workforce.
The role provides an excellent development opportunity for the successful candidate, working in a positive, supportive environment for all stakeholders. As part of the role you will coordinate a number of part time Development Coaches working in schools in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work proactively with players, club coaches, volunteers, parents and club officials.
You will work to develop the existing development structure and ensure that the reputation and the brand remains vibrant and is at the centre of sustainable rugby league development in its surrounding communities.
You will have a relevant academic qualification and a full and valid driving licence.
Experience of coaching rugby is helpful but not essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this post.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment.
