Scotland Rugby League Under 19 Head Coach, Mark Brennan has announced his squad for their away match against Ireland on Sunday 14th April.
Brennan has selected players from 12 clubs with 11 new caps in the 18 man squad. Jack McMillan has been appointed captain for the 2019 season.
Brennan said:
We have held a number of well attended development sessions in recent months with a good mix of experienced rugby league players and those new to the sport. I have been very impressed with the attitude and commitment of all the players and how quickly they have picked up what we want to achieve on the pitch.
We are at the start of an 18 month programme that will finish with the 2020 Under 19 European Championships, so Sunday is very much the first competitive step in that process. I am looking forward to a good game and to our players experiencing what an international game of rugby league is all about. A very proud moment for everyone but especially for our 11 new caps.
